STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING CO-OP
Co-operative education allows a student to experience different work environments and different areas of Civil Engineering. We believe in having Co-ops work in our office. They help us with drafting and design once they have some design classes.
ENGINEERING STRUCTURAL DESIGNER
Designers work under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer. They have the opportunity to learn how to design all types of buildings, structures, stairs, rails, or structural steel connections. Designers will work with our drafter to complete construction documents for building and structures.
PROFESSIONAL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Professional Structural Engineers make independent decisions regarding the analysis and design for buildings and various structures. They assist our Designers and Drafters in the preparation of construction documents. Client communication is key, and they keep projects on schedule and within budget guidelines.
SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Senior Structural Engineers are the lead on multiple projects while beginning to grow a network of client contacts, supervising and mentoring staff and may have the opportunity to secure equity within the firm.
Principals
Principals serve in leadership roles and provide expert project guidance, mentoring to advancing engineers and staff, and provide quality management. They are owners within the firm and manage multiple large and complex projects.

Structural Engineer
TTR Engineers is a Structural Engineering firm located in Akron, Ohio. We are looking for a Structural Engineer with at least (4) four years of design experience in building and/or non-building structure design in the United States. TTR Engineers wants to grow and we are seeking individuals to hire who have a passion for the field of structural engineering and are able to work in a smaller office environment.
- Analysis and design work for structural steel connections and miscellaneous steel (steel and rails).
- Must be able to prepare engineering calculations.
- Manage Structural Designers and assist Technicians/Drafters in the preparation of construction documents.
- Must be able to manage client relations throughout a project.
- Must be able to keep a project on schedule and within budget.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration
- Minimum 4 years of related experience
- Analysis and design experience. Familiar with an analysis software such as RISA 3D
- Familiarity with AISC Manual and ACI 318-05/10
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- Excellent work ethic

Senior Structural Engineer
The Senior Structural Engineer is tasked with carrying out structural review and design for Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional projects including steel connections and stairs.
- Communicates effectively with clients and co-workers
- Manages Design Engineers and CAD/BIM Technicians for structural design projects
- Performs quality control on projects and documentation
- Reads specifications and construction documents to determine what the scope of work is and what is necessary to complete the design of the project
- Performs and manages simple and complex analysis, design and inspection of existing structures
- Acts as Project Lead and Reviewing Engineer for projects
- Determines scope of work for delegated design projects
- Estimates new project work
- Manages projects through coordination from clients to design engineers
- Tracks hours and expenses to ensure the scope and budget of the project remain ontrack
- Maintains detailed record keeping and documentation throughout all phases of the project and files project documents in an organized manner
- Communicates with clients using proper terminology and in a timely manner to keep them updated on the status of the project and provide a high level of customer service
- Works diligently to achieve project demands and meet task deadlines
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required and a PE
license. Also, at least (8) eight years of Structural Engineering experience required. -
Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory
agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to employees, management or public groups. Ability to interact clearly
and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients,staff,
vendors, etc. -
Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient
in personal computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Risa 3D, Mathcad,
AutoCAD and other engineering software.

Structural Revit Draftsman Designer
A Structural Revit Draftsman Designer prepares structural drawings and plans for foundation
and framing work for Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Institutional projects.
- Drafts plan views for foundation and framing plans
- Drafts walls and framing sections for design plans
- Coordinates design input and markups from structural engineering leads
- Utilizes and improves structural design standards
- Responsible for producing quality models
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; prioritize and communicate assignments
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED; Additional education preferred.
Two years’ experience with Revit software and knowledge of AutoCAD required. -

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. -
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
